BROTHERHOOD & SISTERHOOD Each fraternity and sorority member enjoys a special type of relationship. This special friendship is called brotherhood or sisterhood. Each member, with varying backgrounds, shares his/her experiences, hopes, successes and challenges with close lifelong friends.
Brotherhood and sisterhood is showing one another how to work a calculus problem or playing a pickup game of basketball. This friendship is a group of students working together to reach common goals and to help each other reach their full potential.
Close friendships are reached through sharing, laughter, fun service projects, life challenges and growing together. Friendships also reach across campus to members of other fraternities and sororities that share some of the same goals as you. You'll find yourself working side by side with members of other fraternities and sororities as you network in the classroom, during a part-time job or in other student organizations.
Membership in a fraternity or sorority is a lifetime membership. Choosing to become a member means living with a group of men or women who you can share your hopes, dreams, goals and ideals. A Greek experience during your undergraduate years is a gateway to many rewards and connections beneficial in college and later in life. |
