Formal Recruitment is a mutual selection process where new students are choosing the chapters they are interested in joining while chapters are also choosing who they will ask to join. Formal recruitment is only for those interested in joining a housed fraternity or sorority. Joining a Multicultural Greek organization can be done in the first or second semester at the University of Idaho. Formal Recruitment is process of getting to know the chapters while they take the opportunity to get to know you. Formal Recruitment takes place before school starts in early August. Do NOT sign a residence hall cotract if you are participating in formal recruitment. 95% of those completing the recruitment are asked to join one of the chapters at the end of process.  By registering for recruitment you are already signed up for orientation.  * A portion of sorority recruitment is based on academics. We recommend having a 3.0 High School GPA or a 2.75 college GPA if you plan to participate in formal recruitment.
