Additional Scholarships

The Ginger Minor Rankin Scholarship Endowment
The Ginger Minor Rankin Scholarship Endowment
will provide scholarships to deserving students enrolled in the Theatre Arts program at the University of Idaho. I have a strong interest in providing financial assistance to Native Americans or other students who might not otherwise be able to attend college. Given this interest, I recognize that this scholarship will help support the university’s commitment to diverse student population that includes individuals of varying genders, ages, races, national origins, talents, etc., and those from underrepresented populations and/or economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

 Selection Criteria:

1.       The Ginger Minor Rankin Scholarship Endowment will be available to students enrolled full-time at the University of Idaho pursuing a degree in Theatre Arts.

2.       First preference shall be given to students of Native American descent and second preference to students of African American or Hispanic American descent. Third preference shall be given to students of other racial or ethnic minorities. If no students in those categories are eligible (e.g., if there are no Theatre Arts majors from these minority groups), the scholarship may be given to other financially needy students.

3.       Demonstrated financial need and academic achievement shall be the primary selection criteria. If an entering freshman, the recipient must have achieved a minimum high school cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0. A continuing student must maintain a cumulative college grade point average of 2.5 to continue eligibility.

4.       The selection committee may use its discretion in utilizing additional selection criteria including but not limited to: intentions to complete a degree, potential for future success, and demonstrated appreciation for the opportunity to attend college.
