Accepting Applications for TUTORS for Spring 2009 Semester |

Tutors work with students on an individual basis or in structured small groups to answer questions on course content and to aid in the comprehension of course material. |
Tutors are needed in many subject areas. Areas of highest demand are: |
Accounting
Biology
Chemistry |
Economics
Engineering
Math |
Physics
Statistics

| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: |
| · Grade of A or B in the course being tutored |
| · Documented equivalent experience to a grade of A or B in the course being tutored |
· Written approval of a content skill instructor (Professor, Lab Instructor, etc.) for each subject area you wish to
tutor (which may be downloaded from here; see Apply to be Tutor below for online application link:) |
· Endorsement of UI Tutor Trainer Supervisor (through subject area skill assessment. To use this as one of your
options, please contact taaptutor@uidaho.edu to set up an for an appointment for assessment --

| Pay Rate: |
|
|
• Pay rates range from $8.00/hr. for new undergraduate tutors -- up to $15 per hour depending on the
type of tutoring, the knowledge level required and the training/experience/performance of the tutor. |
• $9.00 per hour for new tutors who are graduate students and/or who have a
bachelors degree -- up to $15 per hour depending on the type of tutoring, the knowledge level
required and the training/experience/performance of the tutor. |

| Training: |
|
|
New Tutors need to complete training early in the semester - includes some
individual preparation/study and two to three evening training sessions. Some
training can be online. |
