This new website is specifically designed for the University of Idaho Non-Traditional Student. We have assembled a comprehensive listing of campus and community resources to help you transition and succeed at the University of Idaho. We are excited to offer more services to this growing student population.
What is a Non-Traditional Student?
Are you an incoming undergraduate student and:
- Older than 24?
- A parent?
- Married?
- Took a break between your high school and university education?
- The primary care giver of elderly parents?
- A veteran of the US armed forces?
If so, you belong to a significant segment of our student population: an estimated 20-40% of our undergraduate students are non-traditional learners.
Almost all non-traditional students are pursuing their education on top of demands outside the classroom including families and work. These demands take ample amounts of time and energy and can make the transition into a classroom difficult. This is why the University of Idaho is committed to working with our non-traditional students to ensure their success in both their academic and personal careers. The University provides a range of services and programs designed to meet the needs of our non-traditional students. Check out the "Quick Links" for more information.
