Mission Statement
A coalition of University of Idaho student-parents, staff and faculty, working to help facilitate an equally accepting and enriching University experience by providing the support that many families need while earning their degrees. From services to scholarships, we hope to make our campus a welcoming and encouraging learning atmosphere and community for student-parents.
Goals:
- Give student parents representation in ASUI
- Create a more family-friendly campus
- Unite traditional and non-traditional students
- Create a networking support system for families on campus
- Fundraise for scholarships and other necessities
- Provide services and resources on campus:
- Child-friendly Amenities Map
- Childcare options
- Lactation options
- High chairs
- Social/networking opportunities
- Work on security and safety on campus
- Increase faculty and student-parent interactions
- Help in the recruitment and retention of student-parents
- More accurately gauge the precise number of student parents on campus, and provide yearly needs assessments

NEW! Emergency Babysitting Service
New emergency babysitting resource list. If you want baby-sitting, or are offering your services, please subscribe by e-mailing wcenter@uidaho.edu. This is a moderated list, and only subscribed members may post to the list.
Another option for parents to post babysitting jobs and look for babysitters is on the Off-Campus Jobs list maintained by the Job Development and Location Program, located in the SUB Room 137, phone: (208) 885-2778. Go to http://www.students.uidaho.edu/finaid/employer and fill in their online form to post a new job.
