You should receive a letter from the Admissions Office within three to four days of receipt of your application and the supporting material. 4. What is New Student Services and how is it different from Admissions?
At most universities in the U.S. the functions of student recruitment and admissions application processing are performed by a single unit called the Admissions Office. At the University of Idaho these functions are performed by two different units. The office of New Student Services handles all of the recruitment functions such as high school visitations, campus visits, mailing of information packages to prospective students, etc. The Admissions Office handles all matters of application processing and communication to prospective students once they have applied for admission.
