What are the admissions requirements? Transfer students are selected from applicants with at least 14 transferable credits who present a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 on all college-level study attempted in all accredited colleges attended. *Students transferring from out-of-state into the College of Engineering must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.80. Other departments may have additional requirements pertaining to transfer students.
Will my credits transfer? Evaluation of Transfer Credits. Upon admission of a transfer student, all credits earned or attempted and all grades received in college-level courses at accredited institutions are evaluated and core-curriculum determinations are made by the Registrar's Office. The registrar's office will contact students once their transfer course evaluations are completed. Transfer credit limitations? A maximum of 70 credits earned at junior or community colleges, or one half of the total credits required for the student's intended baccalaureate degree program, whichever is the higher number, may be transferred to the University of Idaho.
Do I have to complete my Associates Degree to transfer to UI? No. Transfer credits can be evaluated on a course-by-course basis for equivalency.

The best place to start is the website of the department in which you are majoring. To find your department's website, visit the Campus Directory. Other helpful web sites are the UI Catalog at www.uidaho.edu/catalog, and the Center for Academic Advising www.uidaho.edu/advising.
