Departmental Requirements
The following are the departmental requirements that students need to satisfy in addition to the general admission requirements listed under either the Domestic Applicants link or the International Applicants link on the Graduate Admissions homepage.
Students planning to apply for work leading to a graduate degree should contact the department in which they wish to major before submitting the application for graduate admission.
*see the Definitions & Examples page for the Statement of Career Objectives and/or Curriculum Vitae/Resume
Please note: a few of the graduate programs have forms for the letters of recommendation. If the program you are applying to does not have a form listed here then they do not have a form for the recommender to fill out.
Please check the Printable Applications & Forms page for the programs that do have a letter of recommendation form.
Your file will not be sent to the department for review until all required documents have been received by the Graduate Admissions Office. If you are currently enrolled in a college or university, you need to submit a current transcript that shows all work completed thus far. If you have or are currently attending the UI you do NOT need to order UI transcripts, the graduate admissions office will secure UI transcripts for you.
Note: The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a requirement for applicants whose native language is not English.
For more information on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), visit http://www.ets.org/toefl/

The University of Idaho Institution Code for both the TOEFL & GRE is 4843.
