The Official ID Card for the University of Idaho
Your Vandal Card is your student ID card. It is also the official employee ID card for staff, faculty, and affiliated persons. Off campus employees should contact the Vandal Card Office at vcoffice@uidaho.edu to obtain details on getting a Vandal Card. The Vandal Card serves many purposes on campus. It provides access to numerous events and facilities including: athletic events, recreational facilities, the Student Health Center, and the library. Many locations use it for door access. It is the official university ID used to obtain payroll and financial aid checks. The Vandal Card can also used as a debit card for purchasing university goods and services. Numerous discounts are offered to those using the Vandal Card debit account including: a 5% discount on used text books at the UI Bookstore, a 5% discount at all university dining locations, and a 10-30% discount on self-serve copies with Vandal Card readers. New Students/Employees: Vandal Cards are issued at the Vandal Card Office in the Student Union Building a cross from Student Accounts/Cashiers room 124. Bring your offical ID such as your drivers license/permit or State ID or even a passport so that we may properly identify you. We will not process your card without picture identification. If you are registered for classes, you can get your Vandal Card. Employees can obtain cards on or after their first day of work.
Returning Students: Your card is electronically updated each semester to reflect your enrollment status
Lost Cards: If you lose your Vandal Card, notify the Vandal Card Office immediately so that your card can be inactivated. Replacement cards are available for $25.00. Please bring your driver's license.

Vandal Card Debit Accounts:
You can make a Vandal Card debit account deposit at the Student Accounts/Cashiers Office in the SUB or on line. You can also make a deposit with your billing statement by writing in the amount of the deposit on the front of the form. Include the amount of the deposit with your payment. You may also use financial aid and/or scholarships to make deposits with your billing statement. Deposits made with financial aid/scholarships are available 10 days prior to the first day of the semester. Employees can deposit to their Vandal Card debit account through payroll deduction. Vandal Card Debit Account Disclosure Statement of Terms and Conditions
1. If your card is lost or stolen, and if you contact the Vandal card Office within two business days, your losses will be limited to the lesser of $50.00 or the actual amount of the loss. If you do not contact the Vandal Card Office within two business days, your losses will be limited to the lesser of $500.00 or the actual amount of the loss.
2. The Vandal Card Debit account can only be used for purchases of goods and services at participating locations on the University of Idaho campus. Cash withdrawals are only permitted one time per semester or if the cardholder ceases to be affiliated with the University. When a Vandal Card Debit account is closed, all debts on the cardholders University of Idaho Account (Student or Staff) must be satisfied before a refund is issued.
3. Information regarding the cardholders account or transactions may be disclosed to third parties when necessary to complete transactions, when the condition or existence of an account must be verified to comply with government agency or court orders, or with the cardholders written permission.
4. Errors reported to the Vandal Card Office will be investigated and the cardholder will be notified of the determination within 20 business days.
