Core Requirements
(General Education Requirements)
All undergraduate students will complete some version of General Education Requirements. The form they will be required to fulfill depends on when they were admitted and/or if they are transferring from another institution.
CORE DISCOVERY Courses - All undergraduates working on 2004-2006 UI Core Requirements will need to take a year of Core Discovery Courses. (See chart above)
Cluster Information - All undergraduates working on 2003-2006 UI Core requirements will need to complete a cluster in order to fulfill their General Education requirements. These tools will help advisors and students plan for cluster courses. (all will open in new window)
Humanities & Social Science Offerings - All undergraduates will need to complete credits in Social Science and Humanities courses to fulfill their General Education Requirements. (See chart above) (All will open in new window)
International Courses - All undergraduates working on UI Core will need to take an approved international course.
Fine Arts and Capstone Courses - All students working on 2003-2006 UI Core Requirements can use Fine Arts & Capstone courses as electives to fulfill the 18 credits required in General Core Studies courses if needed. (See chart above)
