The Office of Multicultural Affairs administers a healthy group of awards every year to both incoming freshman and returning students. The scholarships include both institutional monies and private donor sources.
In order to compete for all OMA scholarships you must successfully file your FAFSA and have your application for admission in to the University by the priority application deadline. Students competing for scholarships must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.

If you are a new student and you would like to compete for these scholarships:
You need to do no more than submit your application (indicating relevant ethnic and academic information) to the university by the priority deadline (this date will be listed on the application) and your FAFSA materials to the Federal processing center by the FAFSA deadline (before Februrary 15).
If you are a returning student:
Make sure that you complete your FAFSA information and submit it by the priority deadline (this date will be listed on the application) and do all that you can to meet the criteria for the scholarship that you are interested in competing for.
