Asian American Pacific Islander Association (AAPIA)
AAPIA is an organization devoted to increasing awareness of the different Asian cultures. Members participate in social, cultural, and fundraising activities. AAPIA also helps to organize events for Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month in April. The 2005 Asian Pacific Heritage Month events included a performance by Eliot Chang (stand-up comic from New York), an Asian Luau, a sushi-making workshop, and a film festival. AAPIA welcomes students of all cultures to meet new friends and join us for these fun activities.

Ambitious Women of Excellence Strength Unity and Motivation is an organization that embodies and embraces the values and ideas presented in the University of Idaho diversity plan. Our organization seeks to increase the multicultural experiences of all
University of Idaho students and the surrounding community by helping foster an atmosphere that helps encourage togetherness while celebrating each person’s uniqueness and individuality.
We also hope to promote contemporary issues that relate to and effect women and by doing so, help elevate the respect and perception of women and their role in leadership.

The University of Idaho Black Student Union (UI-BSU) addresses the interests and concerns of black students who are primarily from countries in the Western hemisphere (North, South and Central America, Europe, and the Caribbean). Its mission is to: promote the academic and professional advancement of its members, create a social environment where black students can engage in critical dialogue on issues that affect them, promote Pan-Africanism by working with other groups representing the diaspora, and promote cultural awareness and diversity by working with others genuinely committed to developing partnerships through peaceful dialogue and mutual cooperation.

Native American Student Association (NASA)
The Native American Association is an active cultural organization on campus working to aid, enhance, and enrich the educational experience of Native American students. NASA is open to all students who wish to get involved and learn more about Native American culture and issues. Student members meet bi-weekly and sponsor socials throughout the year. During the spring semester, NASA hosts the annual Tutxinmepu Powwow.
