Multicultural Greek Council Works with the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Greek Life to unite the multicultural fraternities and sororities at the University of Idaho, adhering to the positive attributes of mutual respect, integrity, and character while fostering: positive interfraternal relations, encouraging social service, promoting cultural awareness, supporting the academic endeavors of its members, providing programming and recruitment support.

Lambda Theta Phi

Lambda Theta Phi Provides the Latino college students the opportunity to be part of a family with a mission. What is this mission? To cultivate a spirit of brotherhood, to value an education, to promote unity among all Latinos, to be proud of and cherish our heritage, to assert roles of leadership, to develop character, to practice chivalry, and to serve mankind. In short, to raise the social and cultural conscience of the Latin male college student.

Omega Delta Phi

The purpose of this Brotherhood, a service/social fraternity shall be to dedicate ourselves to the needs and concerns of the surrounding communities and promote and maintain the traditional values of UNITY, HONESTY, INTEGRITY, and LEADERSHIP. This Brotherhood was founded in order to provide to any man a diverse fraternal experience which coincides with a higher education.

 S i gma L amb da Beta, Beta Gamma C hapter was established on May 31, 2003 at the University of Idaho. Sigma Lambda Beta is bases on cultural understanding and wisdom. We believe in the principles of fairness, opportunity and in the equality of all men no matter their race, culture, or ethnicity. SLB received the 2006 Student Organization of the Year from ASUI Student Organization Awards and 2006 Organization Service Award at the Student Achievement Awards.

Gamma Alpha Omega

Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority, Inc. is a Latina founded service sorority that works as a support system for all women at the University of Idaho. Gamma Alpha Omega is the first Latina sorority in Idaho and the Eta Chapter was brought to the University of Idaho on October 29, 1999. Their main objectives are to support the Hispanic/Latino communities as well as youth. The members of Gamma Alpha Omega have a strong sisterhood and strive to uphold the values of Honesty, Integrity, Leadership, Scholarship and Unity. Gamma Alpha Omega is open to women of all origins. GAO was honored for their community service with the “Student Organization Service Award” in 2005, and received the “2006 Dr. Martin Luther King Distinguished Service Award”.

Lambda Theta Alpha

Lambda Theta Alpha is a new sorority on campus established at the University of Idaho in the Spring of 2006. Lambda Theta Alpha is the first sorority in the nation, established in 1975, created to cater towards the needs of Latina women and women of all ethnicities. The purpose of Lambda Theta Alpha is to provide a sisterhood based on Unity, Love, and Respect and to create a support group for Latinas in higher education, and unite the Latino community on campus. To develop strong Leaders who will then provide and practice political, social and cultural activities. To promote Latino Unity through charitable and educational programs. To maintain a high standard of learning and serve as a voice for all Latino students. The Delta Eta Chapter of Lambda Theta Alpha has received many awards and recognitions on and off campus including The Martin Luther King Jr. Distinguished Service Award in the Spring of 2007 as well becoming the New Chapter of Year from our National Board of Directors in the year of 2007.

Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. was established on July 13th, 2007 at the University of Idaho. We strive to be the premier organization committed to providing a mechanism of empowerment to all women. Recognizing our responsibility to the progression of a positive global community, we stress the importance of morals, ethics, and education in our daily lives so that we serve the needs of our neighbors through a mutual respect and understanding of our varying cultures. Sigma Lambda Gamma is a sisterhood of women who have chosen this affiliation as a manner to achieve personal development and awareness to the responsibility of community involvement for the betterment of our local, regional, national, and global communities.
