Featured Scholarships
National Merit Finalist Scholarship Program - $50,000
The University of Idaho is a leader among public institutions in the Northwest for enrolling National Merit Scholars(www.nationalmerit.org). This four-year program guarantees a full-ride that covers university defined educational costs for basic fees and tuition, room and board, and books for up to 25 new freshmen who achieve the following:
- Admission to the University of Idaho
- Finalist standing with National Merit Scholarship Corporation
- Declare University of Idaho as first school of choice by May 31
- 3.0 University of Idaho GPA for renewal
- Apply for admission by Feb. 15
Non-residents' out-of-state tuition is waived increasing the value of the award to $90,000 For more information visit here.
Guaranteed Scholarships for Idaho freshmen
Go Idaho Program - $6,000
This exciting new four-year program guarantees a minimum $1,500 per year in scholarship funds to Idaho's best and brightest entering freshmen. Includes the guaranteed awards listed below.
- Graduating seniors with a 3.5 GPA from an accredited Idaho high school
- New freshmen from home-school or non-accredited high schools with a 25 ACT or 1140 SAT
- 3.0 University of Idaho GPA for renewal
- Apply for admission by Feb. 15

Guaranteed scholarships for all freshmen
Presidential Scholars $12,000
- $3,000 per year for four years to top graduating seniors
- 3.5 high school GPA and 30 ACT or 1340 SAT
- 3.0 University of Idaho GPA for renewal
- Students from home-schools or non-accredited high schools will be considered but not automatically awarded.
- Apply for admission by Feb. 15
Leadership Scholarship $2,000
- $1,000 per year for two years to presidents of their senior class, student body or school honor society.
- 3.0 high school GPA
- 2.8 University of Idaho GPA for renewal
- Apply for admission by Feb. 15
Achievement Scholarship
- $1,500 for freshman year with 4.0 high school GPA or class rank of 1
- $1,000 for freshman year with 3.8 high school GPA
- Apply for admission by Feb. 15

Idaho Tuition Waiver Scholarship
Non-resident U.S. citizens who are not from a WUE state are considered for a limited number of tuition waivers with these minimum qualifications:
Freshmen
- 3.0 high school GPA and 20 ACT or 950 SAT
- 2.0 University of Idaho GPA for renewal*
Transfers
- 3.0 transfer GPA and 14 or more transferable credits
- 2.0 University of Idaho GPA for renewal*
* Years of renewal depend on number of transfer credits
Guaranteed Transfer Scholarships
Transfer Idaho Scholarship Program - $3,000
Guarantees a minimum of $1,500 per year in university scholarships for two years

NOTE:
New freshmen must enter the University of Idaho directly from high school or home school to be eligible.
All scholarships require continuous full-time enrollment at the University of Idaho and the criteria and award amounts for scholarships are subject to change.
For admission and scholarship purposes, an unweighted GPA from regionally accredited high schools is used.
The writing components of the ACT and SAT are not considered.
Transfer credit requirements refer to semester hours, not quarter credits.
